Village Greens Farm Shop

Village Greens is a highly regarded farm shop in the lovely village of Ockley. James and Catherine Dampier offer a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables including own and locally grown.  Food lovers are also delighted to discover organic, Fair Trade and seasonal ranges including local meat, cheeses, ice cream, wine, cakes and much more to tantalise those discerning taste buds. Chicken and eggs are free range and beef and lamb adheres to strict RSPCA standards.

What is great about your business? 

Our fruit and vegetables are grown on the farm using traditional methods. We also source from producers within a 30 mile radius, and sell only meat and poultry that has been reared humanely. Our ethos is local, natural and ethical. In addition, shoppers can relax in our bee garden with a coffee from the farm shop. A fish van visits each Friday.

How do you contribute to the local food scene? 
In 2009, we won the South East local food retailer award from the Countryside Alliance, and received highly commended in 2010 in that category.  Village Greens also hosts an annual food fair in September, where customers can meet the local suppliers - find details on the website.  We encourage new producers and have provided several with their first retail outlet.
